In the fall of 2020, the life of 39-year-old Jacqueline Sims Newsome was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of October 13th, a landlord for a residence in the Ensley neighborhood at 445 29th Street made a grim discovery. After noticing the door to the home was open, the landlord entered to investigate and found Jacqueline and a man, later identified as 40-year-old Joseph Scott 'Scotti' Norris, unresponsive in a bedroom.
