In the summer of 2021, a domestic tragedy unfolded in Adamsville, Alabama, ending the life of 41-year-old Nakeshia Thalia Biggs-Lowe. A Black/African American female, Nakeshia was a dedicated special education paraprofessional at Midfield High School and a mother to two children, a 14-year-old son and a 6-month-old daughter.
