In the quiet noon hours of a Thursday in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of Carlos Dewayne Wells Jr., a 21-year-old male, was brought to a sudden and violent end. On March 4, 2021, Wells was discovered on the front porch of a home located in the 2100 block of Berkley Avenue, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
