Bishop Jones, a 23-year-old male from Hueytown, was killed on February 27, 2021, in a violent crash on Interstate 59/20 near mile marker 118 in the Fairfield area of Jefferson County. What began as an ordinary Saturday afternoon turned deadly at about 12:50 p.m., when a collision involving two vehicles left the roadway in chaos. Jones was one of two people who died at the scene, alongside Montez Undra Tolbert Jr. of Bessemer, while two others were reported injured and taken to UAB Hospital.
