On a Monday afternoon, the life of 18-year-old Antwaun Demaun Horn, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On October 18, 2021, at approximately 3:20 p.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 300 block of Valley Road in Fairfield, Alabama, following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Horn unresponsive in a narrow alley behind an abandoned house located at 317 Valley Road. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
