Jeremy Oran Fields, a 42-year-old White male from Bessemer, Alabama, died on March 30, 2021, after a shooting that turned an ordinary Tuesday into a fatal investigation. Deputies were called around 11:34 a.m. to the 700 block of Fields Lane, where they found him suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to UAB Hospital, but he did not survive.
