Jermaine James Kidd, a 24-year-old Black male, was killed on May 11, 2021, in Center Point, Alabama. The events of that day began to unfold around 1:30 p.m. at the Summit Ridge Apartments on Haversham Circle. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies were initially called to the location after a woman reported that Kidd had assaulted and threatened her.
