In the early morning hours of December 11, 2021, the city of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was unsettled by a burst of violence that claimed the life of 30-year-old Michael Brand Jr. A male resident of the Druid City, Brand was discovered by law enforcement and paramedics at the intersection of 24th Street and Greensboro Avenue, suffering from a critical gunshot wound.
