On the afternoon of September 25, 2021, in Birmingham, Alabama, 26-year-old Jahshua Almond Rogers, an African American male, was ambushed and fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the Pratt City area, at a small apartment complex located on Dougan Avenue. When Birmingham police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Rogers unresponsive outside a vehicle that had been riddled with bullets. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
