In the spring of 2022, the life of 38-year-old Dante Gervaise Millner, a Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in his lifelong hometown of Clanton, Alabama. On the evening of April 10th, an argument escalated into violence on First Avenue North. Responding to reports of gunfire, Clanton police and Chilton County Sheriff's deputies discovered Millner lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his face.
