In the quiet, early hours of September 20, 2022, the stillness on Lay Dam Road in Clanton, Alabama, was shattered by the eruption of a house fire. Emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 1:15 a.m. to the residence at 2015 Lay Dam Road, where they were met with a home fully engulfed in flames. After a difficult battle to extinguish the blaze, a grim discovery was made within the charred remains of the house.
