In the quiet, wooded landscape of Oak Grove, Alabama, a grim discovery was made on the first day of the new year. The body of 36-year-old Robert Leon Doss was found by an ATV rider late in the evening of January 1, 2022. His remains were located in a secluded area off Lock 17 Road, near Griffis Road. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office officially identified Doss and confirmed that his death was being treated as a homicide.
