In the early morning hours of August 5, 2022, the quiet of a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Springlake Court at approximately 6:20 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrived to a grim scene.
