In the fading days of 2022, a life was cut short in Alexander City, Alabama. On Thursday, December 29, 2022, 18-year-old Elijah Tarez Lewis, a young male, was fatally shot on Thomas Street. The Alexander City Police Department responded to a call about a gunshot victim and found Lewis in need of immediate medical attention.
