In the spring of 2022, a domestic argument in a Birmingham, Alabama home escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of Veronica Joseph, a 46-year-old woman. On the evening of Friday, April 8th, gunfire erupted in the Ensley neighborhood following a dispute that began inside a residence on 33rd Street and spilled outdoors. When police officers arrived at the scene shortly before 9 p.m., they discovered Ms. Joseph unresponsive on the ground; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
