Brandon Eugene King, a 40-year-old White man from Birmingham, was caught in a sudden burst of violence on the evening of August 23, 2022, at the Red Top at Green Springs apartments on Green Springs Highway. According to Birmingham police, officers were dispatched at about 7:25 p.m. to the 2400 block of Green Springs Highway on a report of a person shot.
