In the fall of 2022, the life of 33-year-old Jesse Dewayne Cummings Sr. was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of Friday, November 4th, officers from the city's North Precinct were dispatched to the 100 block of 50th Street North in the Kingston neighborhood after receiving a report of a person shot.
