In the summer of 2023, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in a Birmingham, Alabama neighborhood, leaving two men dead. One of the victims was Daryl Maurice Jones, a 62-year-old male. The shooting, which also claimed the life of 71-year-old Lee Ross, occurred on a Saturday, July 15th, in the Ensley neighborhood.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but the injuries sustained by both Mr. Jones and Mr. Ross were too severe. Daryl Maurice Jones was pronounced dead at the scene
