In the late evening of August 7, 2023, the life of 33-year-old D'Arcy Joseph, a Black male from Hueytown, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Just after 8:00 p.m., officers from the Birmingham Police Department's East Precinct were dispatched to the 5000 block of 41st Way North following reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered a vehicle riddled with bullets in an alleyway.
Inside the car, they found D'Arcy Joseph unresponsive, having sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
