On a Saturday afternoon in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 19-year-old Kirby Lashon Tate Jr. was tragically cut short. On February 3, 2024, in the 300 block of Norwood Avenue, Tate was found shot to death outside a residence. The Bessemer Police Department received a call about a person shot at approximately 12:48 p.m. and, upon arrival, discovered the young man's body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
