In the quiet morning hours of Sunday, March 10, 2024, a dispute between acquaintances in a Birmingham, Alabama apartment escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 30-year-old Derrick Devell Keith II. The male victim was fatally shot inside a residence at 2344 7th Way Northwest.
Birmingham police responded to the scene at approximately 8:57 a.m. and discovered Keith suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of medical first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
