In the small community of Mulga, Alabama, a welfare check on April 4, 2024, led to a grim discovery and the unfolding of a tragic story of domestic violence. On that day, Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies entered a residence on 2nd Avenue to find 46-year-old Lakechia Rena Bryant unresponsive on the floor.
