On the evening of April 9, 2024, Anthony Lamar Love Jr., a 44-year-old male employee of United Parcel Service, was fatally shot as he was leaving his job at a UPS facility in Birmingham, Alabama. The shooting occurred around 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the facility located on Inglenook Lane. Love was walking to his car after finishing his shift when he was confronted by an assailant and shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
