In the quiet, early morning hours of August 20, 2024, the life of 22-year-old D'Anthony Dejuan Jones was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Jones, a male, was a passenger in a car parked in the 2100 block of Avenue I in the Ensley neighborhood when an unknown assailant unleashed a barrage of gunfire into the vehicle. Struck by the bullets, he was rushed to UAB Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed.
