In what authorities have described as an act of road rage, Enrique Cortes Martinez was shot and killed on the morning of Monday, November 11, 2024, in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. in the 9300 block of Parkway East. Martinez was driving his vehicle when another car pulled alongside him, and an individual inside opened fire, fatally wounding him.
