In the summer of 2024, the life of a 28-year-old Black woman, Kinah Anes Stokes, was cut short by violence in Montgomery, Alabama. On the evening of July 24th, at approximately 8:35 PM, the sound of gunfire shattered the night in the 200 block of Eastdale Road South.
