In the summer of 2024, the life of 40-year-old Stephen Huntley, a Black / African American male from Alexander-city, AL, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, July 15, 2024, events unfolded that would end in his untimely death. That night, officers from the Alexander City Police Department were called to the 4000 block of Washington Street following reports of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Huntley had sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper torso.
