In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 25, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred in Phenix City, Alabama. The victim was identified as Jacob Daniel Sanes, a 34-year-old Caucasian male from Smiths Station, Alabama. The incident that led to Sanes' death took place at Ace's Bar and Grill, located on U.S. Highway 80 in the Ladonia community.
