Genesis Barnett, a 21-year-old male from Selma, Alabama, was shot and killed on Monday, May 20, 2024, during a small house party in Valley Grande. The gathering was taking place in the 3700 block of Hilandale Drive when the fatal incident unfolded.
An argument reportedly broke out between some of the party attendees. Following the dispute, one individual is said to have walked away from the immediate area. Subsequently, more than twenty gunshots were fired, resulting in Barnett's death.
