In the Ensley neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, a life was tragically cut short on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Quintez Deshawn Ladd, a 25-year-old male, was in the parking lot of a convenience store located in the 900 block of 20th Street when gunfire shattered the day's calm shortly before 4:30 p.m.
