On the quiet Sunday after Thanksgiving, November 26, 2023, the life of 30-year-old Dimetri Leon Phillips, a male resident of Graysville, Alabama, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. Phillips, a former Army Ranger who had served his country in Syria and was a Purple Heart recipient, was found slain in his vehicle at a stop sign near the intersection of North Main Street and Highway 78.
