In the summer of 2023, a domestic dispute in Troy, Alabama, escalated to a fatal conclusion, claiming the life of 59-year-old Essie B. Meadows. On the afternoon of July 26th, Troy Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 100 block of North Ridge Circle. Upon their arrival at the mobile home park, they discovered Meadows outside her residence, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
