On the evening of March 30, 2023, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace in the 1000 block of Partridge Street in Mobile, Alabama. When Mobile Police officers arrived at the scene at approximately 6:19 p.m., they found 36-year-old Dajarra Jackson, a Black female, lying on a lawn with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
