In the early morning hours of New Year's Day 2023, the life of 26-year-old Deshawn Tanthony Eatmon, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The fatal incident unfolded at the Brookhaven Apartments located at 1310 James I. Harrison Jr. Parkway East. At approximately 2:20 a.m., Tuscaloosa Police officers were dispatched to the apartment complex following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Eatmon deceased at the scene from gunshot wounds.
