On the evening of June 30, 2022, in Florence, Alabama, a burst of violence cut short the life of 35-year-old Darrious Marqua Smith. At approximately 9:15 PM, officers from the Florence Police Department were dispatched to a residence at 214 Holt Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Smith wounded at the scene.
