In the early morning hours of June 11, 2022, a party on Twin Beech Road in Fairhope, Alabama, turned tragic, ending the life of 22-year-old Cory Terrell 'CJ' Edwards Jr., a Black male. Gunfire erupted at the gathering at approximately 1:00 a.m., and Edwards was struck. He was privately transported to Thomas Hospital before being transferred to USA Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
