On a late summer evening in Stevenson, Alabama, the life of 40-year-old James Jeremy Owens, a Caucasian male, was irrevocably altered. On August 7, 2021, Owens was found with at least one gunshot wound on County Road 287. Despite his critical injuries, he was able to provide a description of his assailant to the authorities who responded to the scene at approximately 10:30 p.m.
