On a late Saturday night in Tuskegee, Alabama, the life of 25-year-old Derrick Lamont Bailey was cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on June 12, 2021, in the 2900 block of Davidson Street, a residential area that was soon flooded with the flashing lights of emergency vehicles.
