In the early morning hours of April 1, 2021, the life of 44-year-old Louis Anglish Bryant Sr. was cut short in his Birmingham, Alabama, home. Just before 4:30 a.m., a 911 call was made from his residence on Vanderbilt Road, reporting that he had been shot. The caller, his partner of 11 years, Jasmine Mari Drake, initially claimed they had been playing with a gun when it accidentally discharged.
