In the early morning hours of January 28, 2021, Thearthor Dixon, a 72-year-old male log truck driver, was found deceased near his truck at a gravel pit in Jackson, Alabama. An investigation revealed he had been shot multiple times in what authorities believe was a robbery attempt. A worker at a nearby gravel pit discovered Mr. Dixon's body and immediately contacted emergency services. Police officials indicated that it appeared he had been specifically targeted.
