In the early evening hours of December 19, 2020, tragedy struck in Montgomery, Alabama, forever altering the lives of those connected to Larry Friendly. A Black male, at 40 years old, Friendly became the city's 63rd homicide victim of the year. Police and fire medics were dispatched to the 4600 block of Virginia Pines Lane around 7 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Friendly at the scene, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
