On July 16, 2020, 32-year-old Jessica Lashea Haynes of Alexandria, Alabama, was found deceased alongside Herschel Neill May III at a residence on Bellvue Road in Saks. The Calhoun County Coroner's Office confirmed their deaths, which were the result of a murder-suicide.
