In the winter of 2020, the community of Montgomery, Alabama, was shaken by a weekend of violence that resulted in the death of 52-year-old Lamar Bailey. A Black male, Mr. Bailey was fatally shot on Saturday, January 18, 2020, in what became one of three separate homicide investigations launched by local authorities over that weekend. The incident that claimed his life was reported as a shooting on Mobile Road.
