In the late summer of 2019, a domestic altercation in Hollywood, Alabama, ended in the tragic death of Candus Bowes. On September 14th of that year, law enforcement responded to a call on Poplar Street and discovered a grim scene. Inside the residence, blood spatter marked the living room floor and both the storm and main doors. A gun and a spent shell casing were found near the blood.
