In the summer of 2019, the life of 40-year-old Derrick O. Blount, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Saturday, August 3rd, violence erupted on the 4100 block of Rosa L. Parks Avenue. First responders were called to the scene where they found Blount suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
