On the morning of Christmas Eve in 2018, the body of 39-year-old Adrian Deon Johnson, a Black male, was discovered at an auto detail business in Birmingham, Alabama. Johnson had been at a party at the location the night before, and a friend who returned to the shop at approximately 9 a.m. found him unresponsive and alerted the police.
