In the summer of 2018, the quiet community of Andalusia, Alabama, was unsettled by the disappearance and subsequent death of 31-year-old Joshua James "JJ" Mount, a White/Caucasian male. His family and friends grew concerned when he was last seen in early August, and their fears were realized when his body was discovered in a rural area outside the city on August 3, 2018.
