In the early morning hours of June 18, 2018, Denorris Rishard Barnes, a 30-year-old male, was at a Marathon gas station on Bessemer Road in Birmingham, Alabama. He was in the process of changing a tire on a white F-150 truck, accompanied by two other males, when the scene was suddenly shattered by the sound of gunfire. Tragically, Barnes was struck by the gunshots.
