On a December evening in 2017, the life of 18-year-old Tyric Savion Toodle was cut short in the parking lot of a Hoover, Alabama apartment complex. An 18-year-old Black male, Toodle was a former student at Vestavia Hills High School and had also attended Spain Park, where he was once a promising football prospect.
