In the early morning hours of a Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama, the stillness was broken by the discovery of a young man's life cut tragically short. Nineteen-year-old James Jean Hendricks was found in the front yard of an abandoned house, his body bearing the fatal marks of multiple gunshot wounds.
